Mobile Excellence Awards Announces 2009 Finalists

The Mobile Excellence Awards just announced the 2009 finalists at the ShowStoppers event at CTIA in San Diego. Winners will be announced and celebrated on December 7, 2009 at an event the Sofitel Hotel in Los Angeles. The awards show is sponsored in part by GoTV Networks, Virgin mealogo2 Mobile, GameStop, Saffron Digital, KeyNote Systems, Azuki Systems and others, and supported by leading global industry organizations GSMA, Wireless Industry Partnership, ShowStoppers and MobileMonday.

“We’re thrilled with the depth and breadth of submissions this year,” says MEA co-chair Allison Dollar, who is also CEO of the Interactive TV Alliance. Dollar reported that the MEAs had received “hundreds of submissions from over 12 countries, reflecting the growth of the mobile industry and demonstrating the MEA’s position as the leading mobile awards program in the industry.”

Produced by Little Monster Media, the MEAs were founded to honor excellence in all genres of the mobile ecosystem. This year’s finalists fall into seven award categories: Mobile Business, Mobile Technology, Mobile Entertainment, Mobile Marketing, Viral Mobile Campaign, Best Brand Marketing Campaign and special honorary awards including Mobile Ambassador Award, Peoples Choice Award and the Industry Star Award, which recognizes the fastest growing mobile company based on accelerated growth, impact and industry achievements.
